Kamiel Klaasse

Klaasse (1967) graduated from the TU Delft in 1995 and in 1997, together with Walter van Dijk, Pieter Bannenberg and Marc Linneman, he set up the office NL Architects. Well-known projects include the Basketbar in Utrecht, the renovation of Cinecenter in Amsterdam, and the NL Lounge at the Venice Biennale. The office is currently working on an apartment building on the Funen site and 220 apartments in Nieuw* *Kraaiennest in Amsterdam and a ‘crossover’ music hall in Vredenburg Music Palace (masterplan Herman Hertzberger). It looks as if 2007 is going to be the firm’s breakthrough year; it has, among other things, won the competition for the Groninger Forum and has been selected for the limited competition for the Olympic Village in London (2012).
