Marieke van den Heuvel
co-founder of Mann Office Marieke van den Heuvel graduated from the Design Academy Eindhoven in 1999 during the early days of Lidewij Edelkoort’s directorship, when the school adapted its more practical, product driven design approach towards a more conceptual informed direction. She served in various design capacities at Inside Outside working on various architectural projects like the Netherlands Embassy in Berlin (OMA, 2003), Seattle Central Library (OMA, 2004), Casa da Musica in Porto (OMA, 2005) and Qatar National Library in Doha (OMA, 2017). At Inside Outside she also worked on various exhibition designs including Snapshots (Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam, 2012), Damask (wall installation in Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam, 2012) and Re-set (curtain installation during Venice Biennale of Architecture, 2012). |
