Building Office Paper
boPaper is the publishing archive of Building Office and Reading Office. It gathers short essays, field notes, case studies, and uncommissioned research that examine how buildings, institutions, and cultural systems are produced. Rather than reporting news or promoting projects, BoPaper documents observations and mechanisms: how a stadium moves out of the city, how a television channel builds trust, how a band structures a song, or how a restaurant organizes its kitchen. It is written in a lighter and more immediate tone than formal publications, allowing ideas to appear while they are still forming.
boPaper functions as an open research notebook. Some entries emerge from visits and conversations; others grow out of uncommissioned architectural studies that train the office to work on future projects. Over time the archive accumulates patterns and references that inform the work of Building Office, while remaining accessible to readers interested in how serious work is organized, edited, and sustained across different fields.
